It launches 0-100 km/h in record 3.6 sec.

Its speed is limited to 250 km/h, but if you option the “Dynamic Package” it is increased 280 km/h or with “Dynamic Package Plus” 305 km/h.

With 48V battery, RS6 can cruise up to 40 sec with engine off. And it is equipped with a start/stop system that works up to 22 km/h. And to add to more fuel economy RS6 can turn off 4 cylinders under light loads.

Styling:

Exterior has aggressive looks borrowed from RS7, this includes; front bumper and Matrix LED laser headlights, in addition with wider intakes. The body is 40 mm wider than standard 6, back has a big diffuser and big exhaust tips, unlike S6. To finish the strong looks you can get optional 22-inch alloy wheels, 21 are standard.

RS6 will come with optional 13 colors (5 matt and 2 unique; Nardo Gray and Sebring Black). You can also pick from three styling packs, which finish your car’s exterior in either black plastic, aluminum or carbon fiber trims. The door mirrors come in black, body-colored or aluminum, too. And you can even swap out the chrome Audi badges for moody black plastic.

As standard RS6 gets RS air suspension (20mm lower and 50% stiffer than standard A6) which lowers 10mm above 120 km/h but allows you to manually raise 20mm to avoid speed bumps.

Extras:

You can order optional dynamic all-wheel steering. In which wheels in slow-speed turn opposite of front for better maneuvering, and in the same direction of front in higher speeds for better stability.

The steering wheel can be ordered as light or stiff.

For those who don’t like air suspension, you can get stiffer steel springs and dampers with optional R Dynamic Ride Control. It keeps the Audi flat in corners by pumping oil under pressure to whichever shock absorber needs it the most but don’t worry there is comfort mode.

If you plan to go on track you can get optional carbon-ceramic brakes which reduce car mass by 34kg improving handling and as well as stopping power. If you want more fun and want to drift you need to get Quattro-sport differential.

New RS6 can be already configured in Europe and for the first time launching in the USA as well.

Starting price in Germany is 117.500,00 €

More: https://www.audi.com/en.html

Music provided by Frequency
Track: Arc North - Heroic
Link: https://youtu.be/wRmkrxgIZvo

If you like this video, like, share and comment it! Or to put it briefly: Quattro. Hardly any other drive brings the engine's power to the road so confidently.

In a technical variant, the central component is the self-locking centre differential. In its basic design, this purely mechanical planetary gear distributes drive torques asymmetrically to favour driving dynamics. With a 40:60 ration between the front and rear axle. If necessary, up to 70 percent can be directed to the front wheels, or up to 85 percent to the rear wheels to counteract slip.

In a further technical variant, the permanent all-wheel drive is coupled with an electronically controlled and hydraulically operated multi-disc clutch for power distribution. Furthermore, the wheel-selective torque control counteracts unwanted wheel slip through targeted braking interventions on all wheels. This results in controllable and sporty handling combined with outstanding traction.

That would be Avant, as in a wagon, and the United States, a country where wagons aren't popular and companies don't sell them. This will also be the first RS 6 Avant to come to our shores, though its sedan sibling has occasionally made an appearance. But, it's coming, we're excited and let's enjoy every second of its presence before it's shunted back to the Continent in favor of some sort of hotted up Q something or other.

Behind that angry, angular face is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. For those you living in Belgium, you might be interested to know that's 40 more horses and 74 extra pound-feet than the outgoing RS 6 Avant. It will send that power through an Audi Sport-tuned eight-speed automatic and, of course, Quattro all-wheel drive that'll operate a 40/60 torque split in regular driving conditions. It can send as much as 85% of its power rearward.

The power story doesn't end there, either, as the RS 6 Avant boasts a 48-volt mild hybrid system that enhances the automatic stop/start system for improved efficiency. There's also cylinder deactivation that shuts down half the cylinders under a steady load.

All that efficiency talk is nice and all, but this is a silly high-powered wagon, and the info you're more likely interested in is Audi Sport's 0-60-mph estimate of 3.6 seconds. That would be a half-second slower than the BMW M5 Competition, which you will note is not available as a wagon, and the Mercedes-AMG E63 S, which is. Boy, that's a comparison test we'd love to do. Someone put that on the calendar.

The enormous wheels, which look removed from a Conestoga wagon, are in fact 22-inch optional rims with a light pasting of rubber. They hang from one of two available suspensions. The standard one is a height-adjustable air suspension, which is stiffer and lower than the standard A6's. It lowers more at high speeds and can lift its nose at low ones. The optional suspension uses steel springs with variable single tube dampers. That makes them sound less fancy, but au contraire. Allow the press release to explain ...

"Hydraulic lines and a central valve link the diagonally opposed pairs of shock absorbers. When cornering at speed, the valves regulate the oil flow in the shock absorber of the spring-deflected front wheel at the outside of the curve, which helps reduce pitch and roll movement."

#SDADan
New Audi RS6 Avant 2020 Short Review Interior Exterior.

The standard eight-speed tiptronic has been designed for extreme sportiness in both the new RS 6 Avant performance and the new RS 7 Sportback performance. The driver can choose between the modes D and S or change gears manually either by tapping the selector lever or by using the shift paddles on the RS multifunction sport leather steering wheel. In manual mode, a shift indicator in the driver information system or optional head-up display indicates the rev limit.

quattro permanent all-wheel drive delivers the power to the road and flexibly distributes torque as needed via the center differential. In the standard configuration, 40 percent flows to the front axle and 60 percent to the rear axle. The wheel-selective torque control intervenes as necessary. Audi also equips the quattro drivetrain with an optional sport differential on the rear axle with active torque distribution between the inside and outside wheel.

With its dynamic setup, the standard RS adaptive air suspension lowers the body of the RS 6 Avant performance and RS 7 Sportback performance by 20 millimeters (0.8 in). The integrated damping control varies as a function of the road conditions, driving style and the mode chosen in Audi drive select. Audi offers the tauter RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) as an alternative. An additional option is dynamic steering with a continuously variable steering ratio.

The driver can adjust the function of key components using Audi drive select, including the steering, engine and sound management, the tiptronic and the optional sport differential. New in the performance models: Similar to the new Audi R8 high-performance sports car, the driver can switch between the modes auto, comfort, dynamic and individual without taking his or her eyes off the road using a special button on the RS multifunction sport leather steering wheel.

The new RS performance models come standard with exclusive 21‑inch cast aluminum wheels shod with size 285/30 tires on the RS 6 Avant performance and 275/30 tires on the RS 7 Sportback performance. The four internally ventilated brake disks have a weight-saving wave design; as an option, Audi offers carbon fiber-ceramic disks. Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) has a Sport mode and can be deactivated if need be.

Striking design details reinforce the preeminent position of the two new RS performance models. These include the sportily designed bumpers with large air inlets up front and the heavily profiled diffuser insert at the rear, the gloss black honeycomb grille typical of the RS models and the flared side sills. The RS performance-specific exterior is distinguished by a quattro logo on the air inlet duct and add-on parts in matt titanium look. Audi offers the new exclusive paint finish Ascari blue, metallic as an option.

The sportily elegant interior of the RS 6 Avant performance and RS 7 Sportback performance comes standard with RS sport seats with pronounced side bolsters and integrated head restraints. Audi offers the seats in the color combination black and blue with the optional RS performance design package. This includes new seat upholstery in an Alcantara/leather combination with a honeycomb pattern and matching contrasting stitching on the armrests, control elements and floor mats. Rounding out this interior combination are knee pads in Alcantara and carbon twill blue inlays. This sophisticated and exclusive carbon material is interwoven with a blue thread. The dial instruments feature black faces, white dials and red needles.

The new Audi RS 6 Avant performance costs 117,000 euros in Germany; the new Audi RS 7 Sportback performance 121,700 euros. The two new models will be available at dealers beginning in November.

The new RS performance models are equipped with the most powerful version of the free-revving V8 biturbo power unit with a displacement of 3,993 cc. Power output has been increased by 33 kW (45 hp) to 445 kW (605 hp), which is available between 6,100 and 6,800 rpm. The maximum rpm has thus also been increased by 200 revs. A constant 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft) of torque is available between 1,750 and 6,000 rpm. A particular highlight of the engine is an overboost function allowing the driver to temporarily draw on up to 750 Nm (553.2 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 5,500 rpm. Overboost is activated automatically under full load if the engine/transmission setting is set to “dynamic” mode. The boost pressure indicator in the RS menu turns red when overboost is active.

The road performance of the new RS 6 Avant performance and the new RS 7 Sportback performance speaks for itself: The two RS high-performance models sprint like supercars from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in just 3.7 seconds, an improvement of 0.2 seconds over the respective base RS model.

#SDADan
Finally!
