Moving to all-electric power doesn’t change this. Built from the ground up, the new Jaguar I‑PACE is a pure Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). Thrilling to look at and drive, Jaguar I‑PACE is the ultimate all-electric performance SUV. One full charge provides a range of 470km (292miles) on the WLTP cycle* Instant torque and All Wheel Drive traction gives I‑PACE the acceleration of a sports car. It reaches 100km/h (60mph) in 4.8 (4.5) seconds. I‑PACE’s 90kWh battery is made up of high energy density lithium-ion pouch cells. Its design and state-of-the-art thermal management system supports longevity and periods of sustained maximum power. I‑PACE is propelled by two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. Similar to the technology found in the I‑TYPE Formula E racing car, these motors generate 400PS and 696Nm of torque. There are five full seats, innovative storage, a substantial rear loadspace of over 1,453 litres and 27 litres in the front storage compartment.

With a 50kW DC rapid charger – the kind found at most public charging stations – I‑PACE can achieve up to 270km (168 miles) of range per hour*. I‑PACE has a range of 470km (292 miles) on the WLTP cycle*. This is enabled through its high tech lithium-ion battery which has a capacity of 90kWh. Next generation electric car technology and our passion for design combine to deliver a zero tailpipe emissions vehicle that remains unmistakably Jaguar. Heating and air conditioning systems use energy and this can reduce range.

These systems are most often used at the start of a journey so, to reduce the impact on range, I‑PACE has the ability to pre-condition the interior ahead of departure while the car is still charging. This allows I‑PACE to use electricity from the power supply, and not the battery, to heat or cool the interior. Extreme low and high temperatures impact upon how well a battery can maintain its level of charge.

I‑PACE features sophisticated thermal management systems which help to keep the battery at its optimal temperature and minimise the impact of outside temperatures on the car's range. One of the biggest impacts on range is the driver. Frequent, heavy acceleration will have a detrimental impact on the car's state of charge, whereas travelling at a steady pace will help an electric car preserve range. Gradual acceleration can also reduce your reliance on hard braking which consumes more energy than gentle braking.

Travelling at a steady pace will help an electric car preserve range.

Both acceleration and braking use power.

Repeated acceleration and braking, as experienced in congested traffic, can be as draining on the battery as they are on the driver.

Maintaining a steady speed as much as possible during heavy traffic will help to preserve range.

I‑PACE’s battery is charged via the car’s plug-in charge point, discreetly located behind the front wheel arch. Once plugged in, you are free to leave I‑PACE to charge. The vehicle will automatically stop charging when it reaches full charge. It’s safe to charge the car in the rain, or even when parked in snow, as the charging system is entirely self-contained. For optimum charging at home, you can install an approved Jaguar wall box*. I‑PACE is equipped with a 7kW single phase AC on-board charger**, which can fully recharge the vehicle overnight and deliver up to 35km (22 miles) of range per hour. When using a domestic socket, charging rates are slower than a wall box (up to 11km of range per hour), but are sufficient to cover the average daily commute of 60km (38 miles) if the vehicle is charged overnight. Industrial sockets (or upgraded domestic sockets) can charge up to 35 km (22 miles) of range per hour.

The best way to get a quick top up of your battery’s charge for those long journeys is with DC chargers – a typical 50kW charger can deliver up to 270km (168 miles) of range per hour*. As the public charging infrastructure improves, I‑PACE will be equipped to accept up to a 100kW DC charge rate. This means you can easily add 100km (62 miles) of range in just 15 minutes. Depending upon the service provider, public AC chargers can have a range of outputs. You can also find convenient charging points at places you may want to stay for several hours – or even overnight – including local shopping centres, hotels and gyms. Simply pull up, plug in, then go enjoy yourself.

Thank you :

EMIL FREY AG, CAR CENTER SAFENWIL
Emil-Frey-Strasse
5745 Safenwil
Tel .: 062-588 02 96 +41 62 788 82 26
E-Mail: autocenter @emilfrey .ch

#SDADan
New Jaguar i-PACE Test Drive Review 2018.

Interior & Multimedia Review New Jaguar I Pace Link : https://youtu.be/370Fe0E5NTc

I had the honor to Test Drive the new Jaguar I Pace Full Electric car from Jaguar and i was super impress by the quality materials that are inside I Pace EV.
